General Location: Norristown and vicinity.

Time Frame: 1977-1980

Background: "What's the channel that keeps you alive? It's 27.115, on your AM dial, Channel 13". As the "station I.D." for the channel implies, Channel 13 was probably my favorite home channel of all time. This group probably had the most fun of any of the other groups. The group started in 1977, and I joined later in the year after spending the summer on Channel 20. We were also the first group to abandon the use of handles, and going instead by our first names. We had loads of fun together, both on and off the air. Many comedic radio bits were developed during our tenure, and we battled with some very colorful and often belligerent people, who often had a problem with our slapstick humor and cavalier attitudes.  Some of this groups members I had known previously from other channels, and some started out here. By 1980, the group had pretty much disbanded, which ended a very enjoyable 3+ years of radio fun.
