General Location: Outskirts of Norristown.
Time Frame: 1981-1984
Background: Uncle Chuckie and Uncle Jimmy and a few other guys settled down on Channel 30 in the latter part of 1981. I would later join the group in early 1982, as would Art and a bunch of other people. Most of the activity on channel 30 occurred from the late evening on. A great many of the group were strictly mobile, and many of us ended up making a habit of congregating either in a local shopping center parking lot (and being scattered by the local cops), or dropping in at Uncle Chuckie's. On many nights we would make impromptu road trips (like to a McDonalds in Delaware, when Chicken McNuggets first came out), or playing elaborate hide and seek games using radio. Activity on this channel slowly faded by 1984, and most of the remaining people moved on to other channels.
