General Location: Norristown Area.

Time Frame: 1975-1978

Background: Channel 5 was formed by a splinter group of adults from Channel 3.  Not sure if this was due to a personality clash, or from the need for more bandwidth to talk. In any case, a few of the members of this group were immortalized in this audio clip which was precipitated by a bleed-over conflict with a few of the people on Channel 6. The Channel 5 group, like those on Channel 3 had pretty much faded away by 1978. Sneaky Smokey became a ham a few years later, and is today an avid contester.
